about jonell mills

IMG_3361.jpeg

Jonell Mills is a somatic movement educator, manual therapist, and lifelong skier who has spent over 30 years helping people recover from injury, surgery, and trauma — and get back to the activities they love. She is the creator of Crutch STYX Swinging, a unique mobility method that turns recovery into strength, adaptability, and freedom.

Living in the mountains shapes both her work and her art. When she’s not teaching movement or working with clients, Jonell creates ski-inspired art and writes and illustrates children’s books — blending her love for storytelling, the alpine world, and the resilience of the human body.

Whether she’s guiding a client through post-surgery rehab, introducing a skier to somatic balance techniques, or painting a powder day on canvas, Jonell brings the same goal to every project: helping people move with more ease, awareness, and joy.

She creates art inspired by the beauty of the world as well as her own experience, especially in relation to skiing at Taos Ski Valley. She works in a variety of mediums, from pastels to acrylics to digital art. Please check out her portfolio here
